Oct 21, 2020 I want however many tracks he can make that results in consistent quality across the board. I don’t care how many there is; as long as they’re top notch.
Oct 21, 2020 I don't want a 20 track album for sure fam. I think that's hard to pull off in the best of times... Let alone outside-of-your-prime. 10 is too short for me though, I would like a nice 13-14 track album.
Oct 21, 2020 Because fam... an album is like a body of work in itself. To those who grew up in the 'album era', a few bad songs on an album could ruin its perception in your mind. Because you are used to buying the CD and seeing the collection of songs as a whole, not individual tracks. So, if he makes 18-20 songs... and 5 are stinkers... that essentially ruins 'the album' to those of us who think like that. Much better to have a solid 13.
Oct 21, 2020 What’s that got to do with: “In the streaming era attention span of listeners is much smaller” though? I understand it being harder to create consistency if you’re after a perfect front to back listening experience, but that’s not what’s being said here. To reject more album cuts due to attention span baffles me. It’s not like the project expires after a day.
Oct 21, 2020 There is no guarentee that the 13 songs that are used will be the 13 ones you all like, so this is an invalid argument.
Oct 21, 2020 "Ppls attention spans are smaller" sounds like a personal issue people need to address themselves. I dont want anyone to compromise their art bc "everybody else is making 1-2 minute songs" or "listeners attention spans are limited" is it really an attention span issue? Or did ppl just become accustomed to s-----y writers not being able to write a 32 bar verse so they all started slacking until it became the norm to have 2 8s or a 16 and 2 hooks?
Oct 21, 2020 People are way to fussy and over analyze. Seems like people spend more time analyzing, looking for problems than just enjoying the music
Oct 21, 2020 I just hope they don't release the album until December. I'm not ready to listen to something new from Eminem right now, this is not his month.
Oct 21, 2020 I think that the Godzilla fast rap verse was added for sake of Juice and immortalizing this collaboration. Juice got a collab with one of his fav emcees and that collab will most probably be a part of popular records books through that fast verse. A good way to immortalize Juice WRLD's name.
Oct 21, 2020 Rap God>Godzilla Not just for the fast rap thing. Rather the entire environment and ambience. Rap God feels modern, is hip and feels like Em is showing that he is Rap God for real. Sso many flows, cadences and everything. Never got boring. Godzilla, I agree was to immortalize Juice. But Em could have done better. The beat was vanilla AF. Got boring within two weeks. I just feel like that slick hook got wasted.
Oct 21, 2020 Btw you know s---'s bout to go down when people start posting album rankings. You know, hoping to add one more somewhere on top.
Oct 21, 2020 I need 50, Weezy, Cudi, Ye, Dre on the album. And some of the new school ones(Cole, Kendrick, DaBaby) Plus, I agree with @Koolo that there won't be too many "direct" political songs. Some thrown in here and there. But I expect a lot of innuendos and allegories. TES style stuff coming.
Oct 21, 2020 Umm if you don't wanna listen to Em, maybe don't search on google for "Eminem new album"No one's forcing you my man.
Oct 21, 2020 this doesn't makes sense. You want a 20track with 8 fillers or 12 perfect tracks? Album goes from 6->8/9
Oct 21, 2020 I don't want a long album or a mix of different types of records thrown together. And no "love" songs please, no supersonic flows.
