Dec 27, 2020 Nah, I really get the feeling that Em worked closely with Aftermath on this record. More than he usual does. Obviously there are the tracks that Dre's team produced, but he also said something like: "I spit these lyrics through Dre's booth" on another track which wasn't produced by them. Also Sly Pyper sounds like he was really involved with the records, like on Higher. It doesn't sound like he just sent his hook, he even rapped some lines after the second hook.

Dec 27, 2020 I remember reading something like this after Eminem released Encore and Relapse. and then we saw the super successful Recovery, which became Eminem's best selling album of the past decade. recent albums have been disastrous but that should piss Eminem even more so that he can release a truly successful album next time.

What i wouldn't give for an album like this by Eminem full of these old school jazzy type beats with Em just reminiscing about Hip Hop, the greats, having fun and showing his love for the genre. Something like Don't Front is the closest thing we're getting probably. s--- would be a classic.

But i wish someone could tell Paul that now it's time for stans to eat a full length album with Jazz/Boom Bap production from likes of Preemo, Madlib, Alchemist, Dilla, Daringer etc. He can pull it off so brilliantly. He has mastered the genre enough to rap over everything.
Dec 27, 2020 dude what are u even talking about? His last two albums have been suprise releases, he clearly doesn't care about "a truly sucessful album" and thats a good thing. In my opinion, the only time there will be a big rollout and promotion again, it will be for his final album. Just enjoy the great music this man is giving us 20+ years in his career
