Oct 21, 2020 Where is the disappointment in that? We are not supposed to get one anyway so enjoy the fact that is a very small chance this will happen and that there are rumours and for sure will come sooner than later
Oct 21, 2020 Working on an album isn't just about making beats. Dre was there and watched the whole thing get created, he was in the studio with Eminem when Eminem received beats from other producers and recorded vocals. In your understanding, Dre's involvement is only about making beats, but that is not the correct opinion. Maybe he only did one beat for Revival, but he was completely immersed in the whole process, which cannot be said about Kamikaze and MTBMB. Eminem spent more time in the studio with Dre while recording The Eminem Show than Encore, because while recording Encore, Dre also recorded many other albums, including 50 Cent, Game, G-Unit, D12, etc he was full time working with many artists during that period. Dre monitors the quality of what Eminem does and records. This does not mean that Dre has to do every beat for the album. Dre monitors the quality of the final music content.
Oct 21, 2020 Well not many others were considering its reception. Overall it wasn't a good album. He more than made up for it with his 2 most recent ones for me though.
Oct 21, 2020 Actually dre wasnt. EM even talked about that in shade 45. And check the revival booklet, everything was recorded at effigy studios. Recorded by mike and joe strange and tony camp as usual. Dre did some mixing but everything was recorded in Detroit. Dre doesnt go out to Detroit like that. Dre had more involvement/input in Kamikaze Em also talked about that. He said Dre hit him up and said he didnt like how ppl talked about revival. He went out to La. During those sessions he worked with dre and thats also where Mike will came in for the greatest track
Oct 21, 2020 Yes, Dre didn't spend that much time on Revival. Actually no. I just mentioned his beats because it showcases how involved he was with those particular records. I mean he sort of did that for Kamikaze, didn't he? They didn't hang out for months but that album was not that long anyway. Em also said Dre didn't like some tracks and deaded them, remember the famous "track that went too far"?
