Jan 9, 2021 Not sure maybe because people were calling Wayne the greatest back in 08 etc. and all he did was those puns etc. lol. Anyway, puns make me chuckle usually, or won't disturb me at all. who cares. rap is like that. You gotta do something with the words, there are gonna be puns, wordplays etc.
Jan 9, 2021 Btw @Chaotic Progress I think you were the one wondering what fantano thought about the album? Well he reacted to gnat and didn't like it so take that as whatever you want to
Jan 9, 2021 We Made You is a more genius song than most of his s--- that he has released in the last couple of years. He used to be a really brilliant rapper, he didn't think so much about rhymes and rhyme schemes and all that s---. He just made interesting songs and didn't think about how fast he should rap. Ahem, back by popular demand Now pop a little Zantac for antacid if you can You're ready to tackle any task that is at hand? How does it feel? Is it fantastic? Is it grand? Well, look at all the massive masses in the stands "Shady, man, no, don't massacre the fans!" d---, I think Kim Kardashian's a man She stomped him, just ‘cause he asked to put his hands Only a brilliant rapper could write these lines! Why doesn't he almost do something like this now? We Made You was Top 10, Gnat was not even Top 60.
Jan 9, 2021 We made you is when I realized that this wasn't the real Eminem from Encore. Was a clone.
Jan 9, 2021 I've already lost count of how many clones they made. The first clone was born in 2008 after Eminem died of an overdose around Christmas 2007. The second clone was for the Recovery era. The third clone was for the MMLP2 era. And now this is the fourth clone they gave birth to with this weird beard. And each clone had its own voice, unlike the original Eminem voice who died. I think that somewhere in a warehouse these disconnected clones are in a box, like out of order robots. They could show these clones in a box in the Wee Made You 2 music video.
Jan 9, 2021 All this hate on Eminem, smh. You don't have to like the guy or his music, but claiming his impact on the culture isn't that big is pure ignorance. Or is it coincidental that Hip-Hop went mainstream worldwide along Em's come up? I think a lot of fans worldwide are attracted to hip-hop because they started out listening to Em, I know a lot of my generation are, I got into it that way too. Sometimes I have the idea some guys are just mad that they needed a white dude to get hip-hop this big.
Jan 9, 2021 I think people are getting misconstrued with mine & other Em fans complaints when it comes to the wordplay. Em is class at wordplay, he’s shown us since MMLP2 that he’s a monster at it - but on MTBMB there has been so many non-clever lines, just saying “like x” just because, no matter the level of quality. When we know how capable of a writer Em is, I don’t understand why we should blindly accept lower quality writing, it’s devolved if anything.
Jan 9, 2021 Well, yeah. That’s the whole argument. White people have been stealing culture from blacks in America for along time, especially in music. Businesses managed to market hip hop to a white audience because they’d accept it coming from a white guy. It’s a deep rooted issue & a real one at that, but Eminem is only a product of it, it’s a shame he gets the hate when he’s not responsible at all.
Jan 9, 2021 Proof lyrics "Guess who sparks life out of test tubes, the devils in the next room special delivery clone vessel" "I love you Em dont let this money change us dawg... I'd die for Em and save Hailie Brave maybe, but just let them tears roll off my grave, Shady"
Jan 9, 2021 I want to throw fabolous in there only because he completely changed his flow from when he first started
