Jan 24, 2021 King Mathers, if released, would've been regarded as his worst album & people on forums like this will have used a similar rhetoric to the Encore debate of "why would he put that out" but it's gained notoriety from simply not existing in the public eye so there's a sense of mystique to it.

Jan 25, 2021 King Mathers would’ve been a great album!! That’s another Eminem album that actually would have that “Eminem” feel which has been missing since Relapse. It wouldn’t have beaten MMLP or anything but still good. ‘Everything’ is f---ing nice! Along with so many other leaks from that time period. So much about that era would’ve made the album and moment special.

Jan 25, 2021 I don't know why but Em's s--- doesn't feel exciting anymore. I enjoyed Side B, but don't have that buzz of new Em material, and same with things happening around it like videos etc... just doesn't feel exciting.

If you're searching for Real Slim Shady type of beats on a modern day Eminem album to have that Eminem feel, you won't find it. Thank god you don't. We already have those sounds and feelings anyway. Any artist needs to change and evolve. I won't call you and artist if you're delivering the same things after 20 years of career. So there is no such thing as Eminem feel, it's bs. Plus, MTBMB feels more Eminem like than any other album he has put out since TES, if we say there is such thing. Good for you. MV are always boring to me. I only watch Em's to see how he looks etc. Just curious about him. I don't think I ever watch any mv except Em's anyway lol (unless J Lo or SHakira had a hot one) As for buzz of new material, how old are you ? How many years you have been a Em fan ? I'm 25, and been a fan since forever. Eminem is still the only artist that I look forward to see releasing new stuff. But I don't really feel the buzz as I used to do. It's about being more mature and older, having more important and good things to deal with in life, getting used to Em dropping new music more often. Cuz he was droppin' once in a few years between 2009-2017. Plus, he doesn't even creates buzz for his albums anymore, he drops out of nowhere. So, how would anybody feel the same buzz as they did with MMLP2 or Revival ? It was impossible regardless of your feelings, age, life etc anyway.
Jan 25, 2021 I'm 30 and have been an Em fan since he came out. As for surprise albums not creating a buzz... actually they create more of a buzz for me. I like being surprised, more than anticipating. I think maybe he's just ran out of ways to surprise me. Which is expected at this stage but he had a h--- of a run/20 years.

Jan 25, 2021 You and some other people (including myself to some degree) are probably feeling like that cause he's basically releasing yearly now so it might feel a little less special than when he dropped something like kamikaze cause with kamikaze he was on new production and the turnaround rate on an album was definitely not that fast for ems music plus him dissing people and the whole surprise drop thing it was some lightning in a bottle type s---
Jan 25, 2021 I think the "buzz" around around Em isn't exclusive. Cuz of Corona, I don't think any artist generated significant buzz around this juncture.
Jan 25, 2021 Its cos he is old and you've outgrown stanning him as much as you used to. I feel the same as you. Always hyped for a new drop but it usually dissipates a few weeks after a release. Been this way since 2013 tbh
