Apr 17, 2021 Yeah I think Side B especially (even over side A) is the best sounding em album from a sonic standpoint (and album in general) since Relapse. I’m not sure he if got new engineers or what but whoever mixed and mastered the album figured out how to truly make middle aged Em sound good. Reminds me of how Alex Tumay has the magic touch with Young Thug and Seth Firkins (RIP) had it with future.

Apr 17, 2021 I will never understand why people act like expanding your music taste beyond Em has to mean Eminem instantly becomes s--- and it's now embarrassing to listen to him. In general I would say that I have a wider taste in music than most here considering this is a strictly rap forum and very little if any posters here seem to have much interest outside of it. I go from trap, modern rap, 2000s rap, gangster rap, ska, pop punk, metalcore, death metal, deathcore, thrash, alternative, indie, enjoy boy band cookie cutter s--- like JT, classics like MJ, s--- like Adele etc etc etc anything you can think of. I have an open mind when it comes to music. what's funny though is I will say I would never be caught dead listening to s--- like NF s--- like that I've tried and is legit too cringe, but yeah all in all at times I go months without listening to Em pretty often and grow tired of his music but in the end he will always be my favorite artist period. You can expand your taste without suddening realizing that Em has just become the biggest s--- stain in music history.
Apr 17, 2021 It's funny rap fans who have a deep hatred for Em remind me of metal fans back in high school and metal fans in general a few years ago. Every "real" metal head wanted to prove that he didn't listen to that "faggy emo hot topic" s--- and was some "tough badass who would knock your teeth out in the pit" and looked down on anyone else. Those same people eventually grew out of that phase and listen to those same bands they used to trash talk and can appreciate both sides of the coin.
