Apr 19, 2021 Spotify = more casuals than fanboys/forum nerds so hits are going to propel albums (TES: Without Me, Till I Collapse, Superman - MMLP2: The Monster, Rap God) but also MMLP2 onwards is streaming era, anything before it will suffer a blow to the numbers.

Apr 19, 2021 Still my favourite post-hiatus, most well-rounded project & the peak of his wordplay. It has major flaws but I get/got the most out of it compared to the others around it. I'm happy with the direction he's gone since & the new work definitely surpasses the likes of Recovery, Revival & MMLP2 as far as sound & features is concerned, but I do miss when Em's albums had more of a purpose than throwing s--- at "haters" - as pleasing as that was to hear on Kamikaze, it's time to move on. The next one is going to be very interesting for sure, very curious to see what direction will be taken.

Apr 19, 2021 I think em knows that a big criticism with his music since kamikaze has been that he sounds like an "old head" when talking about critics and modern hip hop which he's been getting less stingy with the modern hip hop stuff especially on mtbmb so I'm keeping with the @Xmipod idea that hes taking a break to find a new theme

Apr 19, 2021 Since revival it’s kinda weird to think about the break between MMLP2 and revival. Don’t know but nowadays it doesn’t feel right to wait longer than 1 1/2 year for new em. Can see him dropping around feb/March next year at the latest

Apr 19, 2021 I think as he gets older he wants less time between albums, which is probably why we’ve seen him on this crazy streak. g.d., we’ve been so spoiled. I remember thinking he lost it after Encore. I was shocked when I heard Relapse.
Apr 19, 2021 The break after the "pneumonia thing" was the worst. He didn't drop a solo for 5 years. He had his reasons though, but we barely saw him.
