Apr 29, 2021 I can respect that. I think Love Game is playful and maybe impressive in some techinical manners but it's probably an example of the worst Kendrick and The worst Eminem ever musically. It's really wack sonically and one of the most unlistenable songs on MMLP2 I can think of right after a------ (because of that beat)

Apr 29, 2021 The whole point of the song is to make a statement about how easy it is for someone in a warped state of mind to commit terror when the current laws say “sky’s the limit” as far as gun control. The parallels in the writing between him & the shooter when it comes to drug use is just added for effect. The song is brilliant, artistically the best thing he’s done in a long a--- time but it still doesn’t touch what Kendrick does. You could write a book about the layers of concepts intertwined within To p---- a Butterfly’s writing alone — can’t say the same about Em. Like I said, different levels. Em’s more interested in being an emcee than a poet, is what it is. I’m not sure I really understand where you’re getting the angle that Em’s a psychologist from when his critiques of self & others seem to be very thinly veiled/surface level? He’s great at tongue n cheek commentary but I wouldn’t label that as psychology, maybe you could expound on that point?

Apr 29, 2021 I think it's Em's version of the songs Wayne used to drop like A Millie or 6 Foot 7 Foot. Everybody loved it when it dropped until social media started doing challenges with the fast part and they started to hate it for no reason.

I thought man’s was retiring when I heard it for the 1st time, got teenage me f----- up. Let’s find the stems & mix it properly. That song has classic potential!
