Aug 25, 2020 Didn't he do it ironically there. Kinda like "Yeah, they are 'dope', but not on my level"
Aug 25, 2020 Paul Wall is dope and so is bubba so...but I dont compete with nobody. He kind of does say hes better than them but he doesn't do it in a diss way. Was definitely a bit of a CYA for his lyrics on GOAT lol.
Aug 25, 2020 Did he announce track list yet? Em wasn’t on Sean’s first Detroit album so I’m not expecting him on it. Just me being hopeful. Also relating this post to the topic I am hoping we get a few more quality features in the coming months to hype up a potential solo album!
Aug 25, 2020 He didn't. I know the features for it. No Em sadly. My guess he didn't make it on time or didn't have time to do it.
Aug 25, 2020 Because they seem to be out of touch with the fact most of us have already heard all that s---. Unless they're appealing to the pop-Em fans... whooo wouldn't give a f--- about that s--- anyway, so the whole thing is - pointless. Just like making an album for 'both' is. The pop s--- annoys the rest of us, and the rest of the s--- annoys the pop fans. You please nobody. Just make authentic s---, stop trying to appeal.
Aug 25, 2020 'Murder his 4th best?... Probably would agree. Or maybe Relapse. Either way, let's say it is 4th best... pretty good to make your 4th best out of 11 at this stage. I think it's when HE took control again too though. I have a little theory that when Relapse got the reaction it did, then Em went 'okay now I'll listen' to Paul and all the label execs wanting him to do popular features, work with big producers and all that s---. I think up to that point, he did what he wanted, authentically, and it worked. And that's why he rejected all that s---. But when it didn't, then he started allowing himself to be influenced, because he didn't want to fail or feel washed up. Then Recovery did what it did, and he had his formula, and continued it for MMLP2 and then big-time with Revival. Then Revival got the worst backlash he ever had, and was by far the biggest embrace of all other people's ideas and all that s---, and then I think he got angry and went 'okay, back to my s---' Because he made Kamikaze - QUICK. And look how good it is. And same with 'Murder. And both albums feel like Eminem albums again, feel authentic and feel like he was in control, and he exec produced both and co-produced a good chunk of everything... When he's in control... not much actually goes wrong. It was a period of allowing himself to listen to execs and that fat f--- trying to squeeze $$$$ out of him. Regardless of what HE thinks of Relapse (even though I still don't quite believe him), he should look at the fact the only albums which are truly s--- on by Em fans over time now - are the ones where he embraced pop ideals and wasn't in full control - Recovery, MMLP2 and Revival. Everything else is either deemed classic, great, good or at least debated and liked as authentic. Encore was authentic but lazy/pills/bla we know. Everything else though - Relapse (now largely loved), Kamikaze and 'Murder... both hit and still enjoyed and regarded decently. Wonder how his discog looks without the pop period: 1. Infinite 2. The Slim Shady LP 3. The Marshall Mathers LP 4. The Eminem Show 5. Encore 6. Relapse 7. Kamikaze 8. Music to Be Murdered By ...MUCH better. Pretty spotless. 2010-2017 Em wiped turd on his legacy.
Aug 25, 2020 But all he said on GOAT was that Paul Wall was 'just aiyt'... hardly a huge diss, just what he thinks; and he still called Bubba 'dope'. Hardly went in on them.
Aug 25, 2020 @Guma is the man(He told me the release date weeks ago) BUT...... I'm really holding out hope he's wrong about BME. There is a chance I'll enjoy new Eminem. There is zero chance I'll enjoy anything Eminem does with Royce.
Aug 25, 2020 BME sounds quite possible actually thinking about it - I forgot about the election... now it makes sense Em would be trying to finish something in time for that... However, after all the backlash he got from Trump freestyle and all the conversation about 'white this' 'white that' and the ridiculous Revolt TV response and current climate - I think he would be afraid of getting a major 'OH THE WHITE MAN SPEAKING FOR BLACK MEN AGAIN!' (as if Trump is just a 'black people problem' anyway? the whole world criticizes and despises him for MANY reasons. America always trying to make it BLACK/WHITE) type of response... I don't think he would do it, again, he already tried with that freestyle and Revival. And the climate has gotten a lot worse and more ridiculous and racist and idiotic since then... Having recently appointed Royce to his foundation and given all that - makes a loooot of sense; I bet they are finishing up BME, and it will be heavily political, with Royce on his pretentious 'street poet, Malcom X revolution' s--- and Em basically using Royce as a safety net to avoid the backlash of him doing it by himself. BME 2 incoming.
Aug 25, 2020 Imho they saved that "anti-racist" song from Royce album for that one and that skit is in place of it as foreshadowing. It might be just that skit though.
Aug 25, 2020 The Em track on the allegory is called “perspective” which is missing from that list on his screen. Probably just renamed it from anti racist to perspective.
Aug 26, 2020 I would add Recovery. One Super strong pop album makes this a complete legendary legacy. MMLP2 and revival are trash
