Dec 12, 2020 Doesn't make you an insider. I remember on discord you always hassled people for info then always acted like you were an insider lol
Dec 12, 2020 Newly crafted album or a compilation of leftover tracks from the initial MTBMB sessions?
Dec 12, 2020 New album. There's a possibility of some songs from the original album though that wouldn't fit on the 1st
Dec 12, 2020 It was cool when Uzi did it the first time and it was legit a different body of work, or when the second disc is quality like on G Herbo's album or Lil Baby's expanded version, or if the deluxe is legit more of a rerelease with different sequencing for the better like Wunna...but for the most part it's just dumb stream stat juking where we end up flooded with music that didn't make it past the cutting room floor for a reason. Rather than working on new bodies of work they're pushed to "update" old albums to up the numbers. It's the music equivalent of Rockstar re-releasing GTAV on PS3, PS4, and PS5 instead of working on GTAVI. It's just another way they're putting stream-padding over the music itself (specifically the album as a piece of art).
Dec 12, 2020 isnt there a way to find all the new songs uploaded to the streaming services before they come out
Dec 12, 2020 When you related it to gta 5 I immediately understood lmao that makes a lot of sense thanks for the detailed explanation
Dec 12, 2020 @lowkitz's 700 pages before an album comes out prophecy is becoming more and more probable
Dec 12, 2020 i think it signals disposability––of the new work and retroactively of the album proper––and is a naked, cynical way to game streaming numbers. rappers from all styles, cities, and level of the industry are doing it now, and it's just a little deflating
Dec 12, 2020 yeah, i would say that what uzi did was actually a subversion of what everyone else has been doing
