Dec 13, 2020 The problem is that he ran out of things to talk about. And often when he does try to talk about meaningful stuff, he rehashes old topics that have already been beaten to death.
Dec 13, 2020 It's funny that you bring it up because I was going to mention it in my post. That was a meaningful topic. Sonically I just don't find it very appealing mainly because of the way that he raps on it. But in terms of content it's better than rapping about nothing.
Dec 13, 2020 Yeah, someone can dig up my post. I said there would be a deluxe edition (which is what this is, quote me on this come Friday) I talked about how his samples finally cleared so that’s what a lot of these songs will be. I’m doing great. Just recovering from the Covid and praying for some snow! Worst start to a ski season I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Dec 13, 2020 I agree I think the song is really good for a listen or two but it's missing some replayability
Dec 13, 2020 Imagin Poor choice of words there mate. Remember Untouchable? when he addressed police brutality towards black Americans.
Dec 13, 2020 Why would I be interested in hearing a white man talk about black struggle? That's just corny af to me.
Dec 13, 2020 I don't think anything can come close to songs like Rock Bottom, Lose Yourself, 8 Mile Road etc.. He was only a couple years removed from the struggle so they felt genuine. The guy's been a millionaire for 2 decades and i'm not really interested in hearing him talk about his political stance and s--- like that. And even if he did rap about meaningful stuff like current events, it will never get as personal or relatable as 8 Mile Road for example. Songs like those touched you on an emotional level. They just hit a different cord.
Dec 13, 2020 Oh ffs If I want to hear about black struggle I want to hear it from a black person. That's like a man talking to people about the struggles of pregnancy. Nobody wants to hear that s--- from a man. Em should stay away from political topics, BLM.
