Dec 13, 2020 People been waiting for that elton verse. I heard its produced by alex da kid too. Song of the generation
Dec 13, 2020 Disagree... he's never really come up with that great of album names, and he's done a sequel before.
Dec 14, 2020 Recovery had a lot of good stuff content wise imo. Had songs like Talking To Myself where he explains what he was going through during his hiatus. Going Through Changes. A song dedicated to proof. Spacebound where he talks about his past relationship using a different approach. Even songs like 25 To Life where you think he's talking about his relationship but turns out he's talking about hiphop. To me that was his most relatable and personal album post hiatus. My favorite as well. You can tell he had stuff to talk about and none of it felt forced.
Dec 14, 2020 Content wise, I don't know why Em doesn't talk about what goes on in his mind these days. I mean he stays at home right? And doesn't he have crazy thoughts, fears, existential dread like all of us? Recently, i've never heard him talking about anything that personal. Even after the Revival criticism, we have little to no idea about how he felt about that(except that he was angry).
Dec 14, 2020 As it birthed some of the worst aspects of post-hiatus Em, I hesitate to say I would want more of Recovery from a future Em project, BUT everything you said is true and everything people s--- on Eminem for recycling from Recovery in subsequent projects actually worked on Recovery, and really well at that. Feels like he had more to say on Recovery than Relapse, MMLP2, XV, and Revival combined lol but nobody wants to acknowledge that because oh no there are fictional relationship songs and pop features
Dec 14, 2020 Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying I want more of Recovery. But like you said, that's where he had the most to say. Bringing up these same topics now wouldn't feel genuine anyway. Just like doing something like Rock Bottom now wouldn't feel genuine. During Recovery he was going through a transition period. Everything he said was what he was feeling at that time. And I agree 100% that he had more to say on Recovery than he had on all those albums combined. I just wish he had as much to say now as he had on Recovery. But there was a lot more things going on in his life at that time.
Dec 14, 2020 Crook responding to his fake COB sticker by saying “..that part..” is basically confirming Em dropping without directly speaking it into existence lol the clues and hints just keep in piling up
Dec 14, 2020 I mean, the book is extremely corny isn't it? Like, the entire book, only the prologue hit hard(with that Narcissus story).
Dec 14, 2020 This is that guy who was saying that Revival was gonna be ems best album even after it dropped smh
Dec 14, 2020 its like a starter pack book if you want to get into reading and yes I felt midway that s--- was corny
