Dec 14, 2020 Nas and Em has to happen before they retire. Been waiting for too long. Same with Ye, it could even be a song feat Ye and Cudi. Jay again could be dope. Snoop would be a fun feature, just like 50 or Dre, and it would be nostalgic. And Drake, Weeeknd and Rih for the hits.
Dec 14, 2020 I don't want Young MA, Cordae, Joyner, Griselda, Boogie without the hoodie or SH at all. And he works so much with Royce that it makes me not really want new BME anymore. Chill with Skylar, no need for her to be on every album. And Swae is more miss than hit for me.
Dec 14, 2020 In an ideal world yeah, Nas and Em would be a great collab but I feel like if it hasn't happened after all this time it ain't gonna happen at all.
Dec 14, 2020 I agree Marsh, I don't want those features either. But I don't think they will be present since Young MA was surely a one-off, and I HOPE Joyner was too. Griselda would be great to appear on an Em project though. I agree that we've been a bit oversaturated with Em x Royce for now, would love for them to cool it a bit, but to be sure it was most definitely a response to the lack of rapper features on Revival that resulted in those collabs.
Dec 14, 2020 The cover and all other evidence seems legit so i do think something is coming but as for when is anyone's guess. There is no evidence it will release this Friday so I guess we can only wait and see. If nothing drops this Friday then it may of just got pushed back or the 18th was not the release date all along. I hope we get a tweet from Eminem soon with confirmation and tracklist. Don't get me wrong, I like a unannounced surprise drop but I kinda want to see the tracklist a few days ahead out of curiosity and to see the features.
Dec 14, 2020 I just dont really want small artists, that's why I mentioned Young MA and Joyner. This year it could be that Cordae guy he loves. And I hope he will keep Shady Records out of this, I don't want to be reminded that Shady 3.0 exists, not feeling the music at all. PS: I gave Boogie without the hoodie single a chance and like I said before, I can't stand his voice. Joey did way better.
Dec 14, 2020 I'm sure they respect each other as peers but like, if there was any interest in working together it would have already happened. Cudi's only been around since 2010, Nas has been around since before Eminem, not even a fair comparison to make
Dec 14, 2020 There was this rumor that Nas wanted Em on Daughters. And Em almost worked with Cudi back in the days.
Dec 14, 2020 I dunno, maybe I'm out of touch but I don't need any A list rappers touching Em projects at this point. But at the same time, I agree with you that I don't want a ton of Shady 3.0 involvement either, even though I personally think Boogie is really talented on his own. I guess I don't really know what I'd want features-wise from future projects but features have never been a big aspect of an Em album in my eyes anyway. I agree with you and @BeautifulEminem that Weeknd could work really well, the Hills remix was pretty good for having been released during Em's worst era. Other than that, anyone as raw/old school/boom bap as possible would be a good complement to his current mindset. Joey Bada$$ maybe? But he just dropped that collab with Boogie so it's unlikely.
Dec 14, 2020 Well, I want him to work with goats like him, and he's barely on other rappers albums these days. So it will have to be on his albums, I guess.
Dec 14, 2020 If he drops a great album by himself, great, but I don't see it happening, new Em loves corny love songs and goofy tracks (he used to do this in the past too though). I think features would make him worry a bit more about the content.
Dec 14, 2020 My problem with this is that the goat could be someone completely new to the scene and we'd never even know unless they got the opportunity to work with someone already established. Not saying that they couldn't get recognition on their own but I don't get the obsession with Em working with a bunch of people who are already popular. Like to be honest a lot of people in mainstream music aren't that great anyway.
Dec 14, 2020 because he was counting on voter fraud . good thing i put £5000 on donald the donny 2 weeks ago
Dec 14, 2020 I think Em sucks at finding talent nowadays. He won't work with a new possible goat unless someone else put him on first.
Dec 14, 2020 But imo, the last goats were Drake and Kendrick, and that was like 10 years ago. I prefer Drake btw, haven't enjoyed Kendrick's music since S80 and GKMC.
Dec 14, 2020 Idk pal, if you're listening to the new talent with this attitude already in your mind of course you're gonna think they're all bad. Your bias is informing your opinions, so it kinda seems like it wouldn't even matter how talented someone is, so long as Eminem works with them you're gonna automatically think they're s---. That's no way to live.
Dec 14, 2020 I expected a deluxe, not an album. I don't think it's something he wanted to do, but the pandemic happened, not allowing him to do one of those short tours he does. Then an album in 2021. But who knows
