Oct 4, 2020 I personally feel Revival had some really good concepts and ideas to grow on(of course, it wasn't actually like the medicine type marketing). But basically, a lot of things, introspection and social commentary. But that's one album, personally I feel was ruined totally because of production and some really horrible, unreplayable flows and choppy, sonically hurting raps on Em's side. So, if we could get that type of mindset with a good delivery, it'll be a classic.
Oct 4, 2020 On the opposite pole there's always the twisted, NSFW Eminem, you know, just rapping through smoothly about murder, violation, homophobia. Of course that'd be good, but then, I don't think it'd suit his age.
Oct 4, 2020 That's very true. It grew on me a lot. Personally, I can see Em making dope collabs with any artist, any genre. He just needs to, sometimes, let go of the rappity rap and mix in with the vibe. It's a good thing that he's done that in his recent work.
Oct 4, 2020 Very off topic, but ironically, Rap God was the first Eminem song I ever heard. The second was River...(I personally liked it, very smooth song. But light on lyrics) Then Love the Way you Lie. So I've got a soft spot for Em's pop rap. Then I heard k--- You and I discovered something so... Sinister... Which reminds me, where's that murder/dark guy who was in the forum? The Death is Life guy?
Oct 4, 2020 EM says when he listens to relapse he cringes, and that Encore is a better album than relapse. He's not going to drop an accent heavy serial killer song lol. Framed IMO is what relapse shoulda been it was dope with his new delivery and cadences. When he preforms 3AM live he doesnt do the accents anymore either. I dont see him making songs like that, i think he would view that as a step backwards if he did the accents and s---.
