Dec 15, 2020 Producers who work on Windows still typically use FL for production. Producers on MAC usually stick to logic. Pro Tools IMO is unmatched when it comes to cutting vocals and mixing songs, Logic is really close in the vocal department but its not quite there yet, but Producing beats in Pro Tools can be a b---- at times when working with MIDI. Abelton has a pretty solid almost cult following for production/Mixing aswell. alot of EDM producers go with abelton. The most popular DAW's all in all are Pro Tools, Logic, Abelton, FL, and Studio One. But at the end of the day they all can accomplish the same thing, they just go about it in different ways in terms of Sends,Routing,Short Cuts etc. its all on what you feel comfortable with, and they all have different price points. Pro Tools offers a free version but it limits you to 16 audio tracks. Studio One and Abelton also have a free version (im not sure on what theyre track limit is though) and Logics free version is Garage Band. Akai has recently released a free DAW for production aswell, and in the next couple of years UAD's new LUNA will probably became a major player in the DAW world aswell.

Dec 15, 2020 Thanks bro. That was the kind of info I was searching for. I think imma stick with FL. h--- I never even got good enough with FL to share something that was really worth listening to. Mainly just played with the more basic stuff in my free time.
