Nov 21, 2017 I'm sure this is 100% true, and I think it might even be shelved indefinitely. I mean, all stars are aligned on this one: - Em has never been to sensitive and insecure, so he was probably crying when he saw the Internet bashing over WoW. - Paul is being watched closely now that he will take over Def Jam. He needs to appear like a marketing genius, there is too much at stake for him to close Em's career with a huge flop. I think the SNL performance was a last attempt at sticking to the original plan, and look how that turned out
Nov 21, 2017 welp all I have to say is his other good singles like way I am, and stan are terrible on the charts, but does that make them bad songs? Why do ppl care so much?
Nov 21, 2017 They clearly thought this was some kind of genius transcendent art...but turns out a s--- flow and no drums can’t be rescued by a big name on the hook
Nov 21, 2017 Yes it is a flop!WOW is trash and cannot believe Em and Paul actually thought it was a good single choice! At least his 2 songs with Rihanna were number 1 worldwide smash hit singles that helped drive album sales to insane numbers! Was this a test to see how well it would do?Id it went to number 1 they would release Revival tracklist and album promo?Or if it flops like it has, scrap WOW from Revival all together, push back the album and release a lead single that is not trash and will get to number 1? How can he go from the awesome Trump diss to this total garbage? He needs to call Rihanna or Adele fast otherwise Revival going to be his biggest ever flop solo album.
Nov 21, 2017 How can Em choose Rick Rubin over Dr Dre as executive producer again?Rubin is trash, he produced WOW which proves all u need to know about him! Also why has Em gone back to his shouting trash? The flow on WOW started off slow then he goes and screams and shouts at the end of each verse like on everything released after MMLP2. If WOW is the best Em can now do I would rather he quit and leave the rap game. All he has to do is play Till I collapse in his studio and then WOW to know he cannot make good music any more!
Nov 21, 2017 only Dr. Dre & 50 Cent can save his career remember 2009? Crack A Bottle #1 first week with 400K downloads.
Nov 21, 2017 LMFAO! NO he did not!His flow, rhymes and Nate Dogg hook were genius! His flow on Till I collapse makes his flow on WOW look like a school kid wrote them! Till I collapse is a million times better than WOW garbage!
Nov 21, 2017 it's only a flop if you're dumb enough to believe this is the type of song to stay charting
Nov 21, 2017 Rubbish!Em released this thinking the Beyonce hook would gaurantee him another number 1 hit! After it failed pathetically bad it’s now being scrapped from Revival altogether and the release date pushed back until he has a lead single ready t help drive album sales!
Nov 21, 2017 With no Rihanna on Revival going to be very very interesting to see first week numbers.Peopke don’t realize how many Rihanna fans bought his albums just because she was featured on his albums.
Nov 21, 2017 Its not just WOW. the storm was also very criticized due his flow and imagine him thinking " i have an album full of this s---".
Nov 21, 2017 I know I will get critized on this forum, but I would take melodic Crack A Bottle over WoW anytime. There was at least an excellent production, good flow, and a listenable hook. I know y’all hate it, but I think it still has a Slim Shady vibe. Relapse was made for fans, not for everyone.
Nov 21, 2017 I honestly don't think it was supposed to come out on the 17th. We're probably looking at a end of Dec release with another song as a single between now and then. The Nov 17th rumor was just that, a rumor.
Nov 21, 2017 I have hear crazier s--- than a pushback of the album after the WOW reception. It wasn't supposed to drop on the 17th for a while (maybe once they had that date in mind, who knows). But days up untill WOW dropped no one believed that, it just didn't make sense. I felt great about the WOW launch myself as I like the song. It doesn't have massive replay value for me though. As a Stan (with a brain though) I was expecting something else to follow it up shortly after as it just didn't feel like a proper single. I do believe it WAS supposed to be that and I believe the front page was changed in panic. That was a real bad sign tbh. I don't know, for once, my expectations are kinda low for an Eminem album after this process.
