I always like comparisons like this. To me, Eminem = Tiger Woods.

When Tiger was on top, he was living a reckless lifestyle, cheating on his wife, partying, and that reflected the way he golfed. He thought he was invincible, which is part of what made him so unstoppable on the course.

Same thing with Em. When he was younger, he was partying, using drugs, and was making unbelievable music. He thought he couldn't be stopped, in life and music, and for a long time he really wasn't.

They were both able to get away with whatever they wanted, and there's a certain type of thrill that comes with living that way, almost like a high. I think the main reason both of them haven't been able to regain their top dog status in their professions, is because they haven't been able to adapt to their new lifestyles. Confidence is vital in anything competitive, and both of these guys are lacking it big time.
