    Eminem completely ran rap between 1999-2004 and also 2010. He was at the top even when Encore dropped (sales, awards etc.) basically he was the most relevant rapper at that time as he also was in 2010 and prolly 2013. Basically every time Em drops most people talk about him than any other rapper except in 2009 where he came back from rehab and he was out of the spotlight for a long time. also thinking drake runs hip hop since 2011 is a joke lmao, his best run was 2011-13 and that's it. Kendrick running hip-hop since 2014

    I think that list was solely based on popularity so yes drake has been selling more than any new school rapper since 2011

    Alina is so wrong. How is Nelly over Eminem in 2002? 2002 was Eminem's prime and the biggest year of his career, and arguably the biggest single year for a rapper in history. He released Eminem Show, 8 Mile, 8 Mile Soundtrack all in this year lol. He had the #1 song, #1 best selling album of the year, #1 movie, and #1 soundtrack lmao.

    If you want honest year by year of who was most successful, selling wise, play wise, award winning wise, etc....

    Nelly didnt have 2002. Em had 8 mile and TES that year. "The culture checked for nelly more", even if that was true (which it isnt) it would only pertain to America as globally eminem was far far more anticipated.

    I'm comparing their last project and as far as I know Kendrick sold more even tho Drake had a project out with over 20 songs with the likes of Passionfruit, Free Smoke and Glow and that in the age of streaming
    Drake sold 1.7M-18M as far as I know and Kendrick broke that 2M mark but then again I have no official numbers but I'm pretty sure these numbers aren't that wrong
