Jul 1, 2024 That's not what people mean, a lot of rappers are inspired by Em in a positive way like Kendrick, Cole etc. the problem is when people are inspired by the wrong part of modern Eminem and they think rapping syllables is the only thing that matters in rap and it produces a lot of cornballs.
Jul 1, 2024 You got the 3 classics that everyone loves (CB1/2/3 SSLP/MMLP/TES), then the 4th one which has some highlights but people often dislike and think it's not up to par (Wrath of cortex/Encore), then a whole lot of mid with some cult classics sprinkled throughout (Relapse to Side B - Twinsanity to Mind Over Mutant), the spin offs which the first one is universally loved and held in high regard (CTR/Devil's Night) while the others are more hit or miss (BME/D12's World/SHADYXV - Nitro Kart/Tag Team Racing/Crash Bash etcetera) and maybe now we get a proper return to form but modernized in a way that still feels fresh?
