At this point you gotta wonder if Em's early career wasn't just lightning in a bottle. I think even the most hardcore stan has to admit he's been bad longer than he's been good

The devil baby…ok well he was also doing the devil horns on mmlp2 and blonde hair and look what we got. He just chainsawed a body with a Jason mask for a track that rapped about absolutely nothing…Tobey is him literally rapping like he’s been rapping for the last 6 years. There is gonna be more of that s--- on the album. Some tracks will hit hard I bet. But some will be meh as well. Some will probably just be bad.

Jul 2, 2024 It’s kind of crazy. Cause you take those first 3 albums away and there is no talk about being the greatest of all time. Those albums do exist. So his whole existence and level of popularity all stems from like 4 years of making music. The last 20 years have been not very impressive when it comes to actual full albums. Some of those albums have been quite bad. Just not very coherent or pleasant to listen to. I think the last few years have been better. But also it’s kind of boring at this point. He was just too great in the beginning to ever be able to live up to expectations aside from the average d-ck riders who will say anything he puts out is great. Was absolutely lightning in a bottle. Something no one will be able to recapture. A piece of hip hop history.

If he came out with relapse and recovery, people would have still be highly impressed with his attitude, story telling, and insane concepts. Same with kamikaze and m2bmb. The only album that if he had came in with where people would have wrote him off is revival
