Jul 23, 2024 I'm not saying it's going to happen or not going to happen. I just noticed ppl asking questions on the forum, so I posted the sources for all the speculation
Jul 23, 2024 Kendrick at the moment has the world in his hands right now. Same way that Em did around 2002-2003: “8 mile” “TES” Signing 50 “Lose yourself” Murder INC beef Invasion mixtapes Oscar win Kendrick by default to the people will have RAOTY. He can’t lose right now just like Em couldn’t around that time. Even if Em will have a better album it won’t matter. Just how the game is. It’s Kendrick’s time and I’m not mad at it. Happy for him.
Jul 23, 2024 d---, I haven't checked this thread since the album. And it's good to see you're all still delusional. With the "reverse listening" and "new album" nonsense. Kudos, you crazy f---s.
Jul 23, 2024 And, no. MMATBS is an excellent album. Very excellent. A important piece of Rap music in my opinion. But, it’s subjective so salute.
Jul 23, 2024 It's true, though. You're telling me if Kendrick and Em were to battle that Kenny would have a chance? I can listen to d---/MMATBS, and then Kami-TDOSS and Em would smack Kendrick around lyrically. I genuinely cannot believe how people think Kendrick is on Em's level or even remotely close in terms of lyrical ability. I could even argue that there isn't a single diss Kendrick dropped towards Drake that matches the Highs of Not Alike/Fuel(Diddy shots), unless you think WOP WOP WOP HE A 69 GOD, You probably think you a bad b---- like Sexy Red, and half of those cornball lines were good. Kendrick's only chance would be to race bait like he did vs Drake. There is nothing Kendrick does better than Em right now besides making "sonically" better sounding music.
Jul 23, 2024 I think Em and Paul said “F*** it” and are just going to lean into the “Reverse theory” It’s gotten so big now they might as well embrace. It’s giving the album extra life so why not. Lol
Jul 23, 2024 they waited for decline in stream to force everyone to listen again. honestly it’s just wild how anyone could listen to the album in order without hearing the reverse order, it fits perfect. No doubt intentional
Jul 23, 2024 As far as lyrically between Em and Kendrick: After TDOSS I still have my boy. The rapping on this has me talking sh** again to my people. Nobody is rapping like he is on “Fuel”. Nobody. But, Kendrick in my opinion is the only one I’m worried about. And I’m only worried about Jay Z’s backstage influence. The culture acts like he’s God. I say this because I get the feeling he’s responding to Em later this year. That’s the only two im worried about. Everyone else needs to mute up. No one touching my boy again. Lol
Jul 23, 2024 There is no argument. Kendrick is in his prime. For cultural impact there is no one and probably never been anyone that has such a solid impact on the culture. He is the culture and has been in all his albums, and still is as we’ve seen on the disses and the snippets. His words weigh heavy. lyrically artistically Em is miles ahead. in a beef however Em would probably have the best bars but he would be culturally smoked. no need to compare. Its two different goats they serve different purposes
Jul 23, 2024 What worries you about Kendrick? Take his most technical song and Em has 30+ that are even more technical/lyrical ability. Look at his Drake Disses. What are the tough bars besides A minor, Pusha T Flip and a few others? I could argue that even Killshot had harder hitting lines than most of Kendricks disses. Just off the top of my head- Kells put out a hit/diddy bar- Pop Champagne give you a career to destroy it- Tech N9ne/R Kelly Flip. I don't see where people think Kendrick is some lyrical genius
Jul 23, 2024 I mean you're clearly trolling, but c'mon you're using a club b-----r (Not Like Us) and wondering why it isn't as rap dense as Not Alike. Euphoria is a better comparison.
Jul 23, 2024 If they were to battle, Idk what angle Kendrick would approach Em. Especially after this album All of the complaints were fixed on TDOSS. If they battle prior to this then there was some ammo. Now? Idk. I can think of some things but Em can easily crush that.
Jul 23, 2024 According to chatgpt kendrick would say ### Verse 1: Yo, it's K-Dot, stepping up to the mic, Slim Shady, it's time to shine the spotlight, You've been a legend, no doubt, but let's get it right, Your prime's past, while my flame’s burning bright. ### Hook: You were the Rap God, now you're just a relic, Your rhymes getting stale, man, they’re straight angelic, I’m the voice of the youth, you’re just nostalgic, Eminem's encore, but Kendrick’s still magnetic. ### Verse 2: You had your reign, from the basement to the top, But even gods fall, and your hype’s about to drop, Mockingbirds sing, but the new king’s hip-hop, From Compton streets, to the global stage, nonstop. ### Hook: You were the Rap God, now you're just a relic, Your rhymes getting stale, man, they’re straight angelic, I’m the voice of the youth, you’re just nostalgic, Eminem's encore, but Kendrick’s still magnetic. ### Verse 3: Your wordplay's sharp, but your impact's fading, I'm the new wave, with a legacy that's braiding, From "Good Kid" to "d---," I’m the culture's upgrading, You paved the way, now watch me recreating. ### Hook: You were the Rap God, now you're just a relic, Your rhymes getting stale, man, they’re straight angelic, I’m the voice of the youth, you’re just nostalgic, Eminem's encore, but Kendrick’s still magnetic. ### Outro: Respect to the greats, but it's time for a shift, In this rap game, evolution's a gift, So Slim, take a bow, your moment’s adrift, While K-Dot’s reign is the real uplift.
Jul 23, 2024 ngl, Eminems answer slaps, for me Em won ### Verse 1: Yo Kendrick, it's Em, back from the abyss, Been here since '99, still no one does it like this, You think your flame’s bright? I see through the mist, Your bars are tight, but on this mic, you’re dismissed. ### Hook: You claim to be the future, but I’m still the present, Every line you spit, I’m already there, I’m omnipresent, I paved the path you walk, gave rap my essence, You’re just a chapter, I’m the entire lesson. ### Verse 2: From Compton’s streets to my Detroit lab, Respect for your hustle, but your punches just jab, You think you’re the king? Nah, just a fad, I’m the Rap God, and that’s why you’re mad. ### Hook: You claim to be the future, but I’m still the present, Every line you spit, I’m already there, I’m omnipresent, I paved the path you walk, gave rap my essence, You’re just a chapter, I’m the entire lesson. ### Verse 3: Your "d---" was dope, but my "Marshall Mathers" still echoes, You’re in my shadow, wherever you go, I respect your grind, but you need to know, On this throne of rap, I still run the show. ### Hook: You claim to be the future, but I’m still the present, Every line you spit, I’m already there, I’m omnipresent, I paved the path you walk, gave rap my essence, You’re just a chapter, I’m the entire lesson. ### Outro: So keep pushing, Kendrick, I like the fire, But remember who built this empire, You’re good, no doubt, but I’m the one they admire, Slim Shady’s here, always aiming higher.
Jul 23, 2024 Because Kendrick as with Jay will have the people on his side more so it won’t be based on just lyrics but some other s---. I still have my boy winning but you never know. People think that MGK won to this day. So I can only imagine if it was Em vs Kendrick what would happen
Jul 23, 2024 This is probably one of the few "recent" performance of Forgot About Dre where you can hear Em's real voice on chorus: I'd wish he performanced the song like that again.
Jul 23, 2024 How does he always manage to perform this verse so good? Every time the delivery and voice is insane
