Oct 3, 2024 I haven't listened to the album yet, but just found the Temporary music video through youtube. wow. so beautiful. what a blessing to see the story come together this way. i've been listening to Eminem since he had her singing on hooks haha. Just googled now, and me and his daughter are only a few weeks apart in age. really beautiful to experience the story play out the way i have. feels very special to witness generational trauma be broken to this degree and growth like this as well. Eminem has done a truly amazing job. i'll be honest, i've always been quite surprised when I see how well Halie comes off. Her partner seems like a cool, grounded guy too. Eminem is definitely a lot of things, but what he has done for Halie is nothing short of remarkable imo. but yeah, that video has me in my feelings. just very, very happy for all of them.
Oct 3, 2024 Already answered this. Putting it on the album further explains the death of slim shady + sends a message to his daughter. Hits different than if he just sent a video to her when he puts it out there in front of everyone as the last single on an album like this. Not saying there aren’t some marketing benefits too. Lol
Oct 3, 2024 this doesn't make any sense. haven't even listened to the singles other than Temporary. and is this still really a thing? dudes visiting the eminem threads to call people stans? in 2024? lol. i thought ex-girlfriend anti-stan syndrome wasn't cool anymore? it's pretty much only ex-stans that call everyone stans. I don't personally think the song is that good in itself unfortunately, but the message and triumph inherent in the song trumps all that for me. Eminem's story is incredible.
