Bc other countries do it and at the end of the day it's business too, so you can look at it both ways... I think there needs to be a balance and it's AN idea, AN idea to generate revenue from the situation which is more than can be said for what the other cronies come up with, which is usually just a bunch of socialist idealist blabber with little practical implementation - or if done so, a disaster.

But it will still hurt them regardless as other powerful countries will respond by imposing tariffs on American products which will hurt other industries as well. Also, the car industry depends on imports from other countries to build these things. Therefore, imposing tariffs will only lead to higher manufacturing prices which will be felt by the consumer.

'why would they?', but, that's capitalism. So then people will vote with their wallets, and that's the beauty of that. It's a self-correcting eco system, so it's upto them to manuever the situation too, not just upto the government to make the eco system as 'fair' as possible, why should it be fair, nature isn't fair, survival of the fittest and/or smartest.

Farmers took a big hit too which is why food is so expensive. Trump wont fund these wars and give all our relief money to other countries. Instead, they will start paying us what they owe us and we will thrive. Its really our last chance and its a shame how people support this b---- who clearly isn't qualified and no one can say why she is a good choice.
