Jan 20, 2025 Now I wonder whether there's an actual Relapse version of Framed with the accents and Em just re-recorded it or finished it up for Revival
Jan 20, 2025 I'm Sorry is really f---ing good, I was kinda lukewarm on it at first but it finally hit now, d---
Jan 20, 2025 Yeah and his flows for that matter. I was truly, truuuly blown away at the time, it hit so differently. I also remember people speculating that Joyner guided him on how to flow on Lucky you, which .. obviously is so ridiculous to the core. But it did feel so different to what we were used to at that time. And tbh, hearing Freak and then remembering his overall approach and delivery from the that era, man it is truly like night and day compared to now. You can so much tell how he found his comfort zone on kami/chlora remix and onward
Jan 20, 2025 Accents and double entendras are the winning combination. The innuendo/in your window thing was great.
Jan 20, 2025 Man Smack You is good. I didn't think it would grow on me this much. Best diss track of the era for sure.
Jan 20, 2025 I don’t think framed is relapse era I genuinely think it’s modern. Flows are too sporadic to be relapse, and plenty modern references. and its a Frederick beat. Don’t think he was involved during relapse. I mean who knows honestly, but personally I don’t think it’s from that time
Jan 20, 2025 Still crazy how many peoples are traumatized about Revival. I mean yes, was a trash album but this guy has dropped already 3 albums and a side b after that, can we move on?
Jan 20, 2025 If you turn your back on me now I’ll never let you live this down. DO YOU STILL BELIEVE…. IN MEEEE
Jan 20, 2025 I agree that his sensitivity to criticism and sometimes the way he reacts is a bit too p---- at times. I've never understood the importance you give to publications that review music. When the f--- has a hip-hop listener ever needed pitchfork's opinion to figure out what the f--- they like or don't like?
Jan 20, 2025 I think it’s cuz he has a deep rooted obsession with criticism of him and his dreams as a youth if wanted to be in the source magazine with 5 mics
Jan 20, 2025 It was understood that he was a very unsure of himself, but considering the background of his experience it is an inevitable consequence. I have always thought that his humility is nothing more than his insecurity and his over criticism of himself, on the other side of the coin this has given him fuel to always try to perfect himself
