Jan 21, 2025 Yes, but to suggest Spotify “picked a side” due to this is ridiculous. The same s--- happened with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” song. Drake also gets suggested all the time. It’s not like someone is manually going into the Spotify algorithm and putting “Not Like Us” there. Spotify’s algorithm will automatically push something that’s popular because that’s going to make Spotify more money. It’s not a grand conspiracy.

You get a recommendation to a new release/top song by an artist of the same genre ... who is an old label mate, that is heavily influenced by him, who has been on multiple albums together etc etc. It would be another thing to get Not like us recommended when you search for like Cambodian psychedelic rock
