Dec 29, 2021 People praise Side B littered with god awful similes but bad mouth a whole a--- song (Legacy) for 1 not-even-bad line - “the day you beat me, pigs will fly outta my a--- in a flying saucer, full of Italian sausage” > clearly a metaphor for relaying the impossibility of Em being defeated, after 2 verses of the traumatic childhood he’s just been writing about, all whilst using the same multi syllable rhyme scheme throughout all 3 verses. Has nobody heard of the pigs flying/impossible metaphor before? Em just extended it like he’s been doing throughout his whole career. But Em can say bars like - “like my balls I’m in my bag” on Side B & no one bats an eye, and the project is full of them & excruciatingly lazy puns & general writing. Sometimes it feels like people form opinions off of others’ than from themselves with collective bashing like such that isn’t consistent elsewhere.

Dec 29, 2021 Take the MMLP2 tracks individually, they are all mostly good to amazing. But as whole, it really is an disaster and the name of the album does tarnish the album even more because it’s sequel, don’t get when people say the name of the album doesn’t matter, it really does matter. Just a collection of tracks over the years, sessions and thrown together with one or two tracks connected to the MMLP theme. You go from Rap God, to Survival, Stronger Than I Was to The Monster, whole album basically. All completely different sounds, tones and style. Just a mess. Same problem with Revival apart from a couple of tracks, whole album is not very good though. MMLp2 had potential to be something special.
