Jun 7, 2022 Recovery such a solid album, gets better for me as the years go by. I think I dismissed the album for a long time cause of LTWYL, song just stands for everything that I hated about music, coming from one of the artists you never think would do that and was blatant attempt to have a hit for the sake of it, s--- song too. Especially back then, when it came out and it was all everyone was talking about and all the teenage weirdos like Marsh were gushing over all summer. Wasn’t about the quality of the album that was being talked about. Was also labelled as his comeback album when it wasn’t and was such a different sound to any of his previous work that it felt mainstream and was conforming to the music at the time, specially if you liked Relapse as much as I did. Didn’t sit right with me. But time has made this album, very good. Whole album has the same tone, style and is coherent through out, which is something his next 2 albums after it, didn’t have at all. Makes you appreciate it more.
