This isn't hard: Eminem re-recorded and probably also rewrote his verses for the new song, just as he did with Discombobulated and, in part, JBM, most likely because his ego won't let him release vaulted material without redoing or adding onto them in some way to prove he's still got it. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever though that he would re-record songs for a greatest hits album, any more than he would have re-recorded TES for the expanded edition. This is so obvious that I almost feel condescending explaining it. Weed is bad for you.

I really expected an old recoding when the title says 09' with JBAM it was obvious they couldn't put the 99'/00' behind it cause Em redid the first half of the first vers and the hook but why here then when you guys say he redid the verses?

Jul 31, 2022 I just find it funny how one little comment from a random dude who provided absolutely no proof of his claims, gets blown out of proportion and believed without given any second thoughts around here. Anyone with half a brain can tell that everything sounded exactly the same on that Godzilla bit except for just one word. Then the guy says "I think he re-recorded every song". Provides no evidence. Nothing we can hear, and doesn't give any other examples either. And people have been coming up with all sorts of theories to support those claims, for the past 3 or 4 pages. Hilarious. Em re-recorded Jimmy Brian and Mike's first verse. And obviously he re-recorded the vocals for Is This Love. We don't know why. Perhaps neither of those songs were fully finished back then, perhaps he wasn't happy with his voice (remember how strange he sounded on You Don't Know, The Re-Up, Beautiful, etc back then). We'll never know. But to go from that to thinking he re-recorded all the songs in CC2 is insane. I hope I'll have to eat my words later. I'd be happy too. But so far it's just ridiculous to me.

Jul 31, 2022 you really have a point that will turn out to be true haha you really can tell its one of these songs where he just had fun doing them. From the lyrics its nothing special but it adds more value for me sonically than a lot of recent stuff. Also I'm not so sure if this got rerecorded. I take my final judgement after I've heard the CDQ version.
