This is all just my opinion and you’re free to disagree Pop, R&B, Country Good examples Well at least we agree that overall image matters. Perhaps I’m going overboard with thinking that attractiveness matters so much. I just feel like it’s way more common for popular artists and bands to be attractive rather than being normal looking or ugly. I could be wrong. Maybe it’s my negative world view, I just see a lot of people as fake and superficial right now

Mar 8, 2023 Yea you aren't wrong. It's a fact that being attractive makes it easier. The extent to which it matters is debatable. Looks make every single aspect of life easier. I just don't know if it's worth mentionning in music more than it is in all other branches of life. Lady Gaga and Adele are other good examples that prove that even pop isn't strictly reserved to attractive people.
