Dec 13, 2023 Yeah the writing is better, and the delivery a little more spaced out and naturalistic; conversational. And it sounds better yeah. But it's not a style change and certainly not a 'big change'. This is the longest he's gone without a drastic style change... That's partly what used to make each era so exciting. Everybody else rapped the same for 20 years.. he sounded different on every album. I mean the contrast between SSLP vs. TES is wild or Relapse vs. Recovery... like a different human being; the vocal tones, the flows, so when you heard it, it was like 'WHOAH WTF IS THIS?'... Realest is just a slight improvement on the recent style... Hopefully he comes with something bolder. Because even rapping like that, another album full of 'wahh critics, wahh my legacy, hey I'm rich!, here's a fast rap!' n this kind of style, again, is super tiring to even think about.
Dec 13, 2023 The style change is more of a revisit to what made him great, especially production after the beat switches. The Gen Z scheme could have fit on MMLP. Idk, he sounds very different to me vs MTBMB in a good way. I will take it. February 2024
