Sep 23, 2021 Yes I've seen those interviews. The bass brothers contradict themselves and their story many times over the years. They also worked with him early on when he would rap fast af, then stopped and then picked up with him again later. And luis is a helper to Eminems vision....that's what he's supposed to be. I hate the takes of people saying someone needs to tell him to do this and that. An artist needs to be an artist and if they wanna do what they wanna do they're gonna do it. The minute you start taking any and everyone's advice is when you're opening the door to pandering. so which is it, Em wants to rap like a battle MC or he's guided by commercial standards? Bc all of your suggestions are to do things like he used to do and what he used to do is what got him the commercial success. You also say all of his punchlines s---, but then talk about how great his Friday night cypher verse is which is riddled with punchlines. Maybe I look at it differently bc I do music and engineer, but I dont think artist need constant opinions on everything they do. That's making it too much of a collaborative effort for a solo artist. And yes, many hands are involved with a record but theres nothing wrong with how he raps. I don't like alot of the fast stuff either, I like it when it makes sense ir has smooth transitions, but some of yall are acting like every song is triple time. And LOL at giving RA that much praise right now.

A cypher verse being riddled with punchlines is to be expected, a song where he’s supposed to be honing in on storytelling shouldn’t have basic filler bars like awful similes. His punchlines aren’t top tier but not all of them s--- and I mostly appreciate his cypher-type verses in the right context usually for the flows more than anything, that’s something he’s only gotten better at over the years but technical showcases aren’t everything, we’re talking about the quality of the music here. The commercial standards is in the production, the music around him, from the beats to the hooks. Em himself is rapping like a battle emcee at every given point, even when it’s completely unnecessary & that’s the point I’m making. It’s not like I’m saying anything controversial, this is known by most hip hop fans that he has become distasteful for quite awhile now, he can’t read the room. Working with musicians who have a greater understanding of melodies and moods regarding instruments isn’t ‘pandering’ at all, it’s utilising talent & the greatest do that. Regarding the R.A. comment, I’m not sure what you’re attempting to say? As his last album ‘All My Heroes Are Dead’ is explicitly everything Em’s fans would want from him in this part of his career. I do music too, so I’m familiar with what’s going on.

Sep 23, 2021 Yeah it’s not every song by any means & he’s still continuously improving in various areas, that’s why I say he has sparks of brilliance because he does, I wouldn’t still be here if I believed he never hit the mark. I just wish he was consistent with it when he’s clearly capable still.
