Feb 27, 2024 I mean the problem that I have with SSLP2 is that its appeal lies in the raw and unfiltered nature of it, reason why its a classic is because Eminem was relatively unknown and struggling to make a name for himself, he was also dealing with personal s---, Kim, Hailie, just a ton of f---ing s--- that reflects his life before fame and you can’t really replicate that anger, frustration, and a sense of desperation imo, Slim Shady has nothing to lose, so he’s violent and unpredictable, his honesty is raw. Idk how eminem would do that in the sequel. It just don’t make sense. He could explore the Slim Shady persona becoming wealthy and successful, and delve into temptation to say and do things that are no longer acceptable due to the increased scrutiny that comes with fame, he could explore tension between the desire to maintain the crazy f----- up side of the Slim Shady persona and balancing personal freedom with public scrutiny in a weird serial killer type style
