Apr 26, 2024 I 1990s, Toho spread rumour that Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla 2 is the final film in the series and Godzilla dies in the end, which wasn't true but drew a lot of movie-goers. Two years later the actual finale of the series – Godzilla Vs. Destroyah – was tremendously successful too. People just don't want to miss final bows of characters. Or final blows. That's why I think the title and the Spotify promo are so great.
