Apr 28, 2024 I think he’s just very confident in this album. I saw someone say it was filmed on April 21st? Idk if that’s true or not but if it is it seems like Dre and whoever else listened to the album really liked it and he got enough confidence in it to do a rollout.

It’s only a hunch, but watching his reaction to Lions fans yelling at him to “drop the album” spoke volumes about how confident he’s feeling about his recent music. Wondering if there’s an industry signaling angle for preannouncing as well…sort of saving his place in the release lineup given, for example, the rumors about Kendrick dropping soon? I think the most interesting question is why he’s waited 2 years to release it when it was ostensibly done in Jan 2022. Feedback from Dre? Personal change in direction? Coordinate with the Dre/Snoop album for a tour?
