More importantly, we all know that Eminem’s “concept albums” are relatively loose in terms of coherence and conformity to the theme. Off the top of my head, Gnat, Guns Blazing, and Higher all fall well outside the Hitchcock-esque MTBMB theme.

My instinct tells me it’s at least in part tied to Dre pushing back the project he planned to release sometime after the Halftime Show. Hopefully Zane or someone asks him this question at some point.
