May 13, 2024 I've been listening to this song a lot lately, it's probably my favorite on Encore. Very unique atmosphere to it, memorable flows. On par with TES, and probably the only song on Encore that actually is. Maybe Like Toy Soldiers too.

May 13, 2024 Yellow brick road is one the most underrated songs in his entire catalogue imo. Great storytelling, the apology at the end isn't bitchly as some of his later ones, kept the humor there. The picture he paints of childhood in Detroit is fantastic as is dissecting the angle of white people feeling discriminated against in that climate without some white victim s--- like tom macdonald. Songs like that, and 8 mile road really paint the image of Detroit he came up in and its surprisingly not come up much in his music overall. Compare that to some hot garbage like so far
