May 28, 2024 Yeah, Rick Rubin is terrible. He had his time and his moments, though, lots of people don't even know wtf he does - he doesn't have (by his own admission) any sense of melody or music, I think he just fkn picks samples and lets engineers and those around him, and the artist, put s--- together and stamps his name. He just seems to recommend the most on the nose rock samples ever and call it a day. If that's all it takes to be Rick Rubin... f--- me; here, Em! how about Bohemian Rhapsody! Do your thing! Hi I'm Rick. Actually Bohemian Rhapsody would be fkn flames lmao. Imagine what he could do with that at his creative best, s--- would be wild. Also, I don't know why Em hasn't and more rappers in general haven't utilised classical music more. Think of how epic and perfect Mozart n s--- lends itself to rap - sparse, dramatic, lots of open space for vocals. I'm surprised nobody's ever really epitomized its use. I mean you have Kanye doing bits n pieces and high level string pieces n s--- but, not really.

May 28, 2024 You could argue the stupidity both ways. Cause the teaser said coming in the summer. He isn’t gonna drop that information and then give the actual album release date a day later in the form of a cryptic message after just telling us it’s coming this summer. Which means album is probably coming between late June - July. It’s a single and maybe a track list. Zero chance it’s the album dropping this week.
