Jun 5, 2024 Ah. I dubbed this the “Rap Bot” era. I start it at 2013. It’s definitely an acquired taste. Sometimes I get in the mood and go back to this era, but, it’s definitely not an era I would recommend to outsiders. This era is where the “Eminem is trash” and “Raps about nothing” narrative took full steam. Yet, ironically to me, hot take incoming: This era might be, technically wise, the best he’s ever been lyrically. It’s not balanced at all. He made a choice to focus strictly on lyrics for better or worse

Jun 5, 2024 I reckon I gave it a 9 and I'm not backtracking it wouldn't make my top 50 or maybe 100 eminem songs and it's not as good as some of his older stuff that I'd rate lower. but it's funny, it's been on repeat for days and I'm enjoying the moment. I don't need to hype it up cause the song and the video are doing all the job

Jun 5, 2024 I feel like his features between encore and relapse were his worst. I don’t know if I’m thinking of the right time period. But the rear rear rear verse. And an appearance on some trick trick album. He had a stretch of guest appearance that were just beyond horrid. Then there was the whole batch of songs that leaked with banana and ice cream topping on his wee wee. Just really really bad stuff that I’d put even some of revival above of.
