Jun 11, 2024 Yeah I really think it's another level to Going Through Changes. Ofc GTC s----s on it as a song, 'Arose' is hardly a great song, it's just like one giant intense verse over... yeah, not the best sounding beat, but the life support machine aspect of it I think is great dramatism and it's just sort, of... fitting, obviously. 'Castle' I like, but I'm not about to die on the hill for it like 'Arose'. I think a lot more just like that bc it feels more like prime-era Em delivery etc. But I think 'Arose' is a whole new level, whole new final boss era of writing and performance that he's ever done to anything. Also such a bold way to end, he never does that! He always insecurely, I bet 'thinks', 'welp... that was intense, better end on a s--- talking track!' bc he's like, scared of sincerity or depth, or ending on it... like, 'Deja Vu' was a masterpiece end to 'Relapse' but then he had to f--- it up tacking that sh-- on at the end... 'Arose' was powerful af to end on, especially the actual closing segment of the track with the 'rewind' bit. Just a shame about all the dog s--- that came before it / the album it's wasted on.
Jun 11, 2024 True. All f---ing messes and bottom three. Though Recovery do kinda be slappin' and the songs are solid. Even though the production and writing are horrendous, s--- still works, the songs and as a whole.

But how can you listen to those songs and say the album is “complete trash”?? That’s just insane to me
