Eminem’s 2nd Peak, making him the biggest rapper of the 2000’s and 2010’s by actual physical and digital records as far as it’s personal impact on me, that album got me through highschool and was my most replayed album on my iTunes back in the day. Forever a Classic in my book

But Em said in an interview ~'16/'17/'18ish, that Drake did a favor for him for one of his daughters' bdays, and for that reason Em would always appreciate Drake err whatever cheah Then again, if what Kendrick/others are alleging about Drake is true or whatever then.. maybe Em WOULD do that, and it'd be part of "going too far" toward "TDOSS" cheah?

Jun 18, 2024 I feel like Em won’t stick his nose in the Kendrick and Drake stuff. I think he has too much respect for them both, but if asked he would tell you Kendrick won. Same thing he did with the Jay-Z and Nas beef. He acknowledged it on the song with Xzibit and Nate Dogg, and admitted Nas won to The Source, but he never took a side.

Jun 19, 2024 I know you didn’t ask me but I gotta say Recovery is easily his best album after his 1st 3 classics imo.. Seduction is my fave song on the album.. I feel that song gets slept on way to much.. Spacebound, GTC, Cold Wind Blows, No Love, So Bad, I could go on and on. Just a solid well put together album..
Jun 19, 2024 It's up there with MTBMB for me. I don't know which one I would place above the other. MTBMB is too recent perhaps. Perhaps when more time passes, I'll know. But both albums are great imho.
Jun 19, 2024 I would describe Recovery as a boring album with a decent number of solid tracks, most of which haven't aged very well. The same goes for the whole Recovery phase. Unlike Relapse, which isn't much better than Recovery, there aren't enough replayable songs from the period to "repair" the album by making it an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. I took a crack at it a few years ago and ended up with: Spoiler Talkin' 2 Myself Drop the World Fly Away Despicable W.T.P. All She Wrote Space Bound Cocaine Castle (no chance in h--- that's Revival Em LOL, it's gotta be a Recovery leftover) Airplaines 2 Cinderella Man Take From Me (released in 2011 which is still Recovery era to me, sound-wise) Where I'm At No Love Hit Me With Your Best Shot You're Never Over I Need a Doctor (also Recovery Eminem to my ear) All solid tracks, some decent, some good, some great, but on the increasingly rare occasion I get the impulse to listen to Recovery Em, I get bored only a few tracks in and end up just listening to GTC and Cocaine, sometimes Castle, and once in a blue moon INAD and Spacebound. The freestyle still goes hard too but that's hardly a song. I'd have to say GTC is hands down the best track. Cocaine could've been even better with a better singer on it or no feature at all (I actually like the hook well enough but that bridge and outro are so terrible I had to cut them out, leaving only 2 and a half minutes LOL). Spacebound is very good but he's made better love songs imo.
