Jun 26, 2024 Houdini is one of the only songs he didn't title after the hook. As in the word Houdini is not in the hook. Thas normally how he does it... Altho he didn't with Godzilla either... Maybe he caught on to the fact fans were guessing s--- from that and changed his tac. He used to always title from what he said in the hook.

Jun 26, 2024 Relapse was a whole different thing tho. It's not that album took long to make, it took him long to readjust to life again. It's nothing like pre Revival hiatus. Revival took years but it's not like he started working on it right after the release of MMLP2 or anything. I don't think he had the idea of Revival too long before the elections in 2016. He might have had songs done before that, he is constantly in studio and maybe he put some of those in Revival hence all over the place sound of the album but other than that taking a long time to create an album only shows the artist wasn't inspired to make a whole project yet which is perfectly normal specially in Em's case as an artist who is at the end of his career in a way. I don't think it's something more than a coincidence, even if it is, he knows better now. Houdini was pretty promising. The album title seems he had some ideas. I have some high hopes. He only gets better with every drop since 2018...

It was the case with Love the Way You Lie – it was the last song he recorded for Recovery. They migh be working on the second single right now, not believing in other songs on the album (as potential hits).

Jun 26, 2024 Would have been better in my opinion to drop the single, give it a whole week to breath, then release a freestyle to hype people up even more and make a live Perormance of the song(which he did) soon after, reveal the album cover on Wednesday evening and finally release the album a day after on midnight. Short 2 week promo, the hype after houdini was there but they didn't do anything with it. Missed opportunity... Of course you can also do the long Promo game, but then you have to put some stuff out every week to keep people excited. But I don't really care about this stuff anymore, I just want a great album from him.
