Jun 29, 2024 Yeah and that's what I mean. It's like he's heard the criticism about him being disconnected from Detroit so now he's done a 180 on it. If it's from a place of authenticity I have no problem with it, but we all know Eminem takes criticism to heart and adjusts his creative style based on that, with the results often underwhelming. Also Tron seems like a punchline heavy rapper - which again is slightly worrying if that's what we'll get from Eminem on here. He hit the sweet spot with Houdini - old em type beat, nice flows, a modern song you can actually rap along to and less emphasis on the punchlines and technical aspect. Just hope that song wasn't a one off.
