Let me tell you sum’n bro…. You’re 11.99 a month to spofity/apple/deeper or whoever you use is a monthly subscription to ‘stream’ music co- owned by the company you are streaming from. You don’t have a single f---in say what goes on from here on in and you don’t own s---, not even a lousy mp3. Let me tell you exactly why steaming sucks as a prime example: When P from Mobb deep died I was absolutely devastated! He’s top 5 OAT for me. Now shortly after he died, there was a lengthy ongoing legal battle that ensued concerning the ownership of his estate, and whilst this was all going down, Prodigy’s entire solo catalogue was stripped from all f---ing streaming services. You couldn’t find anything besides ‘HNIC’ his debut solo album anywhere across any of the streaming platforms all of a sudden. Do you know how f---ing long that legal battle took? Longer than two and a half/3 years!! Eventually though and luckily for all other P fans in this case, his discography did return to steaming but the point is there was never a guarantee that was going to happen. Luckily P kept his legal s--- thorough and the access to the ownership of the music and all of the publishing was easily to find or else god know how long it might have taken, and there is never a guarantee with then stuff happens that a legal stalemate will ever be resolved, meaning there is every possibility hypothetically that that when this happens in the future that the music never actually does return to streaming services. Now personally f--- all that!! I have P’s whole back catalogue on cd luckily so it didn’t affect me and bs like that never will whilst I actually own the physicals.
