I think he actually had a great idea in mind with using rubin and homage, and old hip hop n rock samples to create a sense of nostalgia without having to literally imitate. Problem is it was just executed badly. He has great ideas but then just doesnt fully commit, compromises them or executes badly.

May 1, 2024 As much as I enjoy Kendrick, MAN, I have to wonder why the greater hip-hop community let's him get away with such corny delivery sometimes lmfao I thought the diss aspect of Euphoria was alright, but I really enjoy it moreso as a regular song. As a diss it was kind of flaccid, tbh, and this is coming from someone who listens to Kendrick weekly (and likes his music), but Drake like, once or twice a year (and 9 times outta ten hates his music).
