Jan 9, 2016 Well Encore might be the only BAD album Em put out that too had good songs. Recovery was a good album, Relapse now gets way more praise than it used to get andd MMLP2 isn't no where near bad it's a good album. Drake present discography can't compare with Em's discography. The people who say Em hasn't put out anything good since TES are the ones who deliberately try to smash his name. MMLP2 got a lot of positive reviews and even Recovery had many positive reviews. MMLP2 was on many year end lists. h--- the sequel got a lot of positive reviews too. Atleast check your facts before blindly typing anything on here. I like Drake's music. I joined this forum because of Kendrick, Kanye and Drake but when I saw the way people post here I was underwhelmed by the lack of true arguments and opinions which keeps me out of this place.
Jan 9, 2016 I disagree. I can go back to his older albums and still find appeal. Eminem back then was such a rare/unique talent. Everything from his alter ego to his pure rapping ability, it just all came so easy to him. We tend primarily focus on his first three albums and Devils Night but also the endless amount of features, freestyles, diss tracks etc. he put out in that time period as well. He was so incredibly active and consistent.
Jan 9, 2016 Well I feel like both have equal discographies with both good and bad moments. Eminem has some seriously good albums like his first 3 and Recovery and Drake has "Thank Me Later" "NWTS" and "IYRDITL" and I'm excited for both efforts. I don't feel like one has the better discography.
Jan 9, 2016 Or Eminem's last four compared to Drake's first four considering that would eliminate the time difference to an extent.
Jan 9, 2016 Kind of repeating what has been said, none of Drake's albums are as good as Eminems first 3, but Take Care is really close imo. Drake's other albums are good to boring, Eminems average to bad. If I look at the stuff Eminem did in his prime (DN/8Mile/killing features) and some of his stuff after him falling off I would say him. But none of Drake's lows are as low as Marshall. So I guess Eminem, very close tho.
Jan 9, 2016 comparing discographies so god d--- stupid. nobody puts that much weight into bob dylan's post 1970's work (he's released 16 more albums btw), nobody cares about michael jackon's 6 mediocre albums--no we only talk about when he was the greatest pop star in the world. so sure, eminem has more bad albums than good, but very few people judge artists by this criteria. we remember the classics they created in their prime and as it stands em three undisputed classics and drake has none.
