Eminem is one of the bestselling musicians of all time, and he has the numbers to prove that not only does his music sell well, it has the power to stick around years after it was first unleashed.

This week, the rapper’s seventh full-length Recovery is back on the Billboard 200 at No. 160, a very respectable placement for an album that has now been out for seven years. By doing so, the title hits a special milestone, and it puts Eminem in the history books in yet another regard.

According to Billboard, this week is No. 300 on the all-encompassing albums tally for Recovery, which is a showing very few records have been able to muster. Only a handful of titles can live on the chart for several weeks, let alone 100 or beyond. Only the biggest and most successful releases from some of the most beloved artists of all time end up living on the all-genre tally for months and years at a time, and doing so more than once is almost unheard of.

The charting company points out that Recovery is Eminem’s third release to earn a place on the Billboard 200 for at least 300 weeks, making him the first musician in history to do so. Other albums have lived on the ranking for at least 300 frames (fewer than 20 are included on that list), but no artist has seen three different titles last that long.

Leading the way is Eminem’s greatest hits compilation Curtain Call: The Hits, which has racked up 363 weeks on the Billboard 200 since it was released back in 2005, and 2002 record The Eminem Show, has now collected 342 nonconsecutive frames on the chart.

All three albums went to No. 1 on the list for at least a week, though several were stationary for several frames. One of the aforementioned titles, The Eminem Show, has been certified diamond in the U.S. for shipping 10 million equivalent units, while Curtain Call is seven-times platinum, and Recovery has only been confirmed as three-times platinum, though the number of plaques those last two efforts have earned likely haven’t been updated for some time. With 300 weeks on the Billboard 200 to their credit (and counting), it's likely that more platinum certifications are on the way.

Recovery will go diamond in the US in the next few years or so. That will be impressive to have 3 diamond solo albums.

I'm more curious if SSLP or Encore can ever go diamond... They will at some point but especially Recovery and Encore sales are huge outside of US but they are standing at 6-7 mills in US I guess. As for SSLP it could be about to go diamond. I guess SSLP will be the 3rd Em album to go diamond.

I just looked at it as of 2013, it's 5x platinum. Don't know about Recovery tho.

Actually u r right, if any of his albums going diamond in US, it is Curtain Call 7x platinum currently. But MMLP 2 ? It's hardly 3x platinum least selling album of Eminem, maybe even lower than Relapse.

I'm just looking at wiki for everything so idk. I just know Em won't have another Diamond album unless he caters to urban america again. His albums are too poppy now

I said maybe if ya know what it means.
As for USA MMLP 2 is like 3x platinum while Relapse is still 2x but MMLP 2's worldwide sales sucks for real.

    Meh, don't worry about that.

No worries. Of course he'll do better. He seems to be more relevant than he was in 2013. Everything he does goes bigger than it suppossed to be.
