Jul 9, 2017 Funny you say that in the Eminem section. That's like going to a gay club and saying i'm not gay.
Jul 9, 2017 How young are you f---ing kids? He has nothing left to prove. He has accomplished everything you can in music. He has done more than what your favorite rapper could ever dream of.
Jul 9, 2017 Chill stan. Eminem definitely needs a strong release. If he comes back with something mediocre after 4 years... yea, that'd be a shame for his overall catalog and legacy. Especially considering his next release (if he does another) won't be for a while. With that said, I do think Eminem will have a good one.
Jul 10, 2017 Yeah. Well, as a fan I think this is the last chance really to make a classic. Even though he came straight out the gate with 3 legendary classics... This has to be one of the longest gaps between one great album (TES, 2002) to another great album in any active GOAT's catalogue. We're talking 15 years. That's crazy. Relapse, Recovery & MMLP2 all have their brilliant moments, but I think we all agree none are great albums. Just great material. Opinion on all three vary wildly from 'great' to 'trash' among fans and critics, obviously MMLP2 was his best reception critically in a while... I do think his only bad album, truly, is Encore. So if he can go out on a classic - or even a 'wow, f---ing great album' or even just 'great album. Very consistent'... I think he'll retire with a pretty strong catalogue, and it'd be a good note. But, I've kind of lost faith - finally - this time - with his ability to put together a cohesive album, simply due to how many vibes and producers he likes to use now - and it seems it's going that way again with Dre confirmed, Rubin kinda confirmed (2 Chainz mentioned it), himself, Porter... The producers & vibes are adding up yet again. So, we'll see. I'd be very surprised if there's a sonic theme and he sticks to it.
Jul 10, 2017 This has been said over and over again since probably Encore. MMLP 2 was definite'y not the 1st MMLP.. and perhaps the name of the album f----- s--- up... but MMLP 2 was solid. Had some powerful flow & lyrics (Rap God). Revisited some things w/ Brainless and Legacy. Headlights was awesome and very relatable for me. Evil Twin was amazing. Love Game Em and Kendrick giving their best Bad Guy was an awesome way to open the album And may I f---ing say it? Even Survival being one of the weakest songs on the album gets me hyped up during a workout. Shady XV and Southpaw was ok... I will say that Guts Over Fear, Fine Line, Kings Never Die and Phenomenal were all solid though. Plus you act like Bad Meets Evil and Recovery were complete flops. There was incredible songs on those albums. It's not TES or MMLP but d---... nobody in the world can re-create that.
