Not a classic. Not even in the slightest. BUT despite its flaws and horrendous inclusions it is a pretty d--- good album.

    Classic? No
    Better than Revival? Absolutely

People slam Encore too much, it's not even bad. It's a f---ing good album but what people were comparing it to were SSLP, MMLP and off the back of the Eminem Show. So the bar was just way too high at that time. It's not a classic but far from Em's worst album. That goes to MMLP2 and Revival.

I actually kind of agree but only in the sense that it's an anti-album and became this sort of absurdist time capsule commenting on the reality of peak fame. He clearly did not want to make that album.

I like songs like Evil Deeds, Yellow Brick Road, Crazy in Love, Never Enough, Mosh, and even Puke made sense on that album. The album suffered from leaks for sure.
Revival is a far worse album. Nothing justifies its existence.
