Jan 6, 2021 Ι doubt that those disses were gonna end up in the tracklist witch had like toy soldiers in it but the quality would have definitely be way better with the rest of em. Imo it would be better to release the album including the leaks and have a good album in the long run than the opposite.
Jan 7, 2021 @hargydon see I told you encore was the best if it had the bonus tracks (the way Eminem intended).
Jan 7, 2021 Y’all f---ers are trippin’ thinkin’ Puke and Rainman aren’t the best songs on this album.
Jan 7, 2021 Encore gets way too much undeserved hate. The leaks had a huge effect, almost feels as if some tracks on there were clearly recorded without the same intensity, we know how much he hated leaks and illegal downloads!:
Jan 7, 2021 I hear that argument a lot, but I actually think the disses absolutely were going to be on Encore, and when a lot of the content leaked, he decided to go in a different direction...thats when he recorded Like Toy Soldiers. Dont forget Encore would've been the album to come on the heels of the Green Lantern mixtapes, and the 50/Ja beef, etc. Em was very combative around then, he wanted all the smoke, but no one was having it, nobody big anyway. I agree, he should've just released it with the leaked tracks, but it was a different time back then.
Jan 8, 2021 I bet if they knew in the future that none of it really Mattered and the album would be on Spotify still making money today with streams they would have handled the situation much differently for sure! But then again Eminem was slanging 1.2 million physical copies first week at that time.. d---.
Jan 9, 2021 If he didn't do those couple songs here and there on Curtain Call and Re-Up, and decided despite the leak to KEEP Love You More and We as Americans....you would/could have had a classic album AGAIN following up his first 3. Still not as good, but overall most would have enjoyed this album playlist as a whole. Keep in mind despite the leak, MOST people as a majority never heard We as Americans or Love You More. The average listener who wasn't hardcore to an artist just listened to what was put out on albums and radio...cause I remember girls being like holy f--- at Love You More when Encore Deluxe released and had never heard it before haha. I thought about replacing Just Lose It and a--- Like That with 2 of the good diss songs (Monkey See Monkey Do, Nail in the Coffin, and Sauce) but an ENTIRE diss song wasn't Em album style. He DEFINITELY dissed a lot, but devoting an entire 3-5 minutes on one person wasn't his thing. And those singles had videos and live performances with some success, even if they weren't for me or you. This playlist could have still had the funny songs, the pop single, etc, a couple club songs, but OVERALL as a whole project it would have been entertaining and the majority would still be mature, emotional, and lyrically deliver content on most songs. Think about it.... 1. Curtains Up (Intro Skit) 2. Evil Deeds 3. Never Enough (Ft. Nate Dogg and 50 Cent) 4. Yellow Brick Road 5. Like Toy Soldiers 6. Mosh 7. Love You More 8. You Don't Know (Ft. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Cashis) 9. Em Calls Paul (Skit) 10. We as Americans 11. Shake That (Ft. Nate Dogg) 12. Em Calls Paul (Skit) 13. Just Lose It 14. a--- Like That 15. Spend Some Time (Ft. Obie Trice, 50 Cent, Stat Quo) 16. Mockingbird 17. No Apologies 18. When I'm Gone 19. Final Thought (Skit) 20. Encore (Ft. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent)
Jan 9, 2021 Out of all the songs that leaked the only ones that would ever make it would be We As Americans and Love You More. Like Toy Soldiers is him putting an end to all the beefs so there was no way any diss song would have made the album. Not all the songs from the CD leaked. It was said there was 17 or 18 songs on the CD but many of them were clean versions. Bully and Monkey See Monkey Do were officially released as promos with much better sound quality, the words are also spun back with the music being unaffected. The only way that could be done is by Eminem himself since no one has access to the multitracks and would be able to do that. Those clean versions are official. Shortly after the Encore album came out, in fact I think it was November of December of 2004 Eminem was in the UK with D12 promoting it and he said he had 18 songs he wanted to put on there but they can only fit 80 minutes on a CD. If you take away the skits on Encore what do you have? 15 songs. How many were on the bonus CD? 3. He gave us the 18 songs he wanted to give us. Now whether you don't like some songs like Just Lose It or a--- Like That......that's your opinion but he gave us the album he wanted and the only reason the other 3 didn't make the album was due to time constraints. No different than The Kids on the Marshall Mathers LP. The difference being back in 2000 the limit for a music CD was 75 minutes.
Jan 10, 2021 That's what he wanted to release, he could easily have swapped them around with 3 songs from Encore. His choice not to put them on the main album and as bonus tracks. Him and Dre wrote 16 songs for Encore and kept 11 of them......how many out of that 11 made Encore? He wasn't stuck for songs to use, he had plenty of material to choose from. I think a lot of fans just like to think that he was rushing around at the last minute to record music for the album and that's their way of justifying the songs they personally don't like being on there. Crazy In Love is the same type of song as Love You More and he recorded Mosh so there was no need for We As Americans. Same thing as Stimulate for The Eminem Show, it's very similar to Sing For The Moment so it was swapped out for Say Goodbye To Hollywood. Bully and Monkey See Monkey Do were released early on in 2004 officially anyway so the were out there but then he records Like Toy Soldiers so there was no need to put songs on there like that if he wanted to squash the beefs and even then......when they released them officially they're not going to have them take up space on an album almost a year later. It should be new music so even if he did want the beefs to continue I'm sure he would have recorded something new for the album.
Jan 12, 2021 Oh h--- no. Calling Encore a masterpiece is the literal definition of rewriting history. Even Nastradamous has dope songs like Project Window. I agree that Encore is pretty underrated, especially with songs like Mockingbird and Mosh in it but it's still far from a classic.
