Aug 19, 2020 Blowing up megaton from that tower with the grandpa and the dude is such a view lol. but anyways NV has the best side missions, lore, factions, different options/paths depending on your skills, endings and so on which are leaps better than 3 imo
Aug 19, 2020 I can agree with this. 3 had better dungeons though, imo. Really liked exploring different vaults. Who did you align with in NV?
Aug 19, 2020 1st playthrough I aligned with NCR, then Yes Man and after that the Legion. Yes man had a d--- good quest line tbh it was my fav
Aug 19, 2020 Totally agree. Did NCR first playthrough but on my current one I’m doing Yes Man. A lot more fun!
Aug 19, 2020 It was a step back from 3 even. They took out so much stuff that made the older ones great. Didn't feel like you had much of a choice with the dialogue cuz none of it mattered. I put maybe 10 hours into it and then never went back.
Aug 19, 2020 d--- was just thinking of these recently. I was looking for a game to play and scrolled past fallout 4 (I already played it) and was wishing I could play 3 or NV. I basically didn’t play any video games after the gamecube so I missed out on all the 360/ps3 classics that didn’t get a remaster/re-release this generation. I’ve heard so many people say new Vegas was the best fallout game and I really wanna play it cause I enjoyed 4 a lot. So if 3 and NV are better than 4, I really wanna play them. I hope they get a re-release soon, preferably on the switch.
Aug 19, 2020 I put 130 hours into it, but it was such a disappointment. I didn't even finish it. I thought they will bring features from NV into it since it was well-received turns out they castrated even F3 formula lol. Probably one of my biggest disappointments in gaming. Bethesda is such a s-----y company.
Aug 19, 2020 I was gonna say I'm playing DOOM Eternal and it's dope but then I realized it's just published by Bethesda lol
Aug 19, 2020 New Doom games are great. I'm a big fan of them. id Software is making them so the same company as the old ones.
Aug 19, 2020 I only played part of the first one at my friend's house a few years back but I'll prob buy it at some point to beat the whole thing since it's super cheap now. What I like about it is it forces you to use all your weapons to survive so you can't just blaze through using the same technique over and over. Makes the game much more fun when you have to constantly be thinking on your feet.
Aug 19, 2020 @Donkey Kong Cuntry if you like Doom then you should check out the newer Wolfenstein games. Except Young Blood.
Aug 21, 2020 3 and NV are both GOATs but (and I’ve already told SL most of this) I think new Vegas functions better as a true role playing game in which a role can be played. in NV u balance individual faction quest lines, those factions interactions with each other, local town/settlement quest lines, and your individual quest line of revenge in 3 there is no real tangible, meaningful faction interaction/change by the characters hand so it simply becomes settlement outcomes and personal outcome. The settlements are pretty subjective and u can make arguments for both but as far as the personal quest line, 3s is essentially the equivalent of if new Vegas ended at meeting and dealing with Benny. NV uses that opening motivation to segue into a larger endgame that itself is deeper than most of 3. And even if NV had ended at Benny, the number of ways to deal w him (even excluding faction interactions) would mean higher variables in outcome comparatively
Aug 21, 2020 Basically in new Vegas I can be like 20 diff types of ppl minimum, 3 (and most Bethesda developed RPGs) is generally a choice between two types of good two types of bad and a neutral. Which is still great, that’s still more choice than say my favorite RPG series of all time mass effect, but obsidian pushed the Bethesda formula into new territory that bethsoft itself has and likely will never reach roleplaying wise
